My RE teacher at school talked about Jesus Christ, and I wondered what that was all about. I asked Mum if we could go to church, and we came here to Victoria Baptist Church, as I knew it from when I came here for Ocklynge Schools' Christmas Carol Concerts. We really enjoyed it! One service I saw someone get baptized and thought, ''OOh! What's going on here!''
I asked myself, ''What does it mean?'' Mum said to me maybe one day I would understand.
I started to get to know people at church and went to J3.16 (a young persons church group) and Rocksolid Youth Club to learn things. I spoke about baptism when I was on holiday with my family in Scotland, and I read the Bible about John the Baptist.
Then I started to meet Matt after school so I could properly understand what baptism meant. Matt talked about the main points of Christianity like Jesus'love and how he died on the Cross to take away our sins. We prayed together in his office and I became a Christian when I asked about Jesus to forgive me and be my Saviour.
Before I became a Christian I felt lonely when no-one was around because there was no-one with me, but now I know that the Holy spirit is with me and will keep me safe.
Now I Know Jesus I know I am definitely on the right path to reach the goal of heaven, which is what everyone wants!
I want to get baptized to prove to everyone that I really do believe in God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I know the Devil will try and trick me back into his ways, but that I can beat him because Jesus is with me.
