Ali Scott

Ali joined the church in October 2010 as Minister in Training, working 3 days a week for the church whilst studying at Spurgeon's College for 3 days. Ali's role at Victoria is primarily focused on working with students and 20s and he will also be involved in wider areas of church life, including leading and preaching at Sunday services and running Alpha Courses.
He is passionate about seeing people move from the fringes of the church to become radical disciples of Jesus.
Ali was privileged to be raised within a strong Christian family, encountering the love of Jesus for himself when he was 10 and getting baptised at the age of 13. Ali felt a clear call to full time Christian ministry during his teenage years and so, following secondary school, went on to complete a Theology degree at Durham University and subsequently undertook a year's internship at the church he was attending in Durham. In the year prior to moving down to Victoria he worked as a Research Analyst for a private equity intelligence firm in London, enabling him to gain experience of the commuter lifestyle whilst being based in Sevenoaks, Kent, the town where he grew up.
Ali loves to spend time with people, both young and old, to learn from their experiences whilst also seeking to lead them into a deeper love for Jesus. He enjoys immersing himself in the deep truths of the Bible and seeking to apply their insights to people's lives. His interests also include playing and watching sport, especially football, going on long runs in the middle of nowhere, travelling to interesting cultures, watching the TV programme Spooks and listening to music by Newton Faulkner.
Ali is engaged to Claire who he loves very much and they are getting married in July 2011.
