Reality Dates

Welcome to the page on the current Reality programme. The vision which drives Reality is a desire to take your discipleship to another level. Many people become Christians and sometimes walk with God for many years without devoting some concentrated time to developing their relationship with God. Reality is where that can happen and we hope you will find it beneficial

Each Reality evening starts at 7.30 and will consist of a talk, coffee and cakes, and a discussion. The dates and topics are:

May 18th – Knowing God

Being a Christian connects us with the awesome God of the universe who becomes our heavenly Father, but how can we be confident that God is real?

May 25th – Knowing Jesus

Jesus Christ is the person at the centre of history who came to transform our lives. We look at Jesus remarkable ministry and learn about the whole concept of God's astounding grace.

1st June – The great give-away

The riches we have in Christ are not something to be hogged but given away. On this evening we look at some practical ways of making an impact in our world and some easy-to-tell stories which help our friends understand what Christianity is all about..

8th June – Going Public

The first act of Jesus' ministry was his baptism and on this evening we look at what the Bible says about baptism and the place it has in the life of a Christian disciple.

15th June – Fanning the flame

How can I keep my faith alive, especially when I live in a secular society? On this evening we look at some of the habits of highly effective Christians whose lives thrive as they walk with God

25th June (Saturday) – Reality Away-day – The Fire

A day away from Eastbourne where we look at how the Holy Spirit acts in our lives and how he takes the things of God and makes them real to us. (We'll tell you the venue nearer the time).

29th June – Belonging

When you became a Christian you joined a church that spans the whole of history and the whole of the globe. In this session we look at the local church and understand how God uses it both for ourselves and to reach society.

6th July – No lone rangers

This evening we look at small groups and how vital they are in our lives.

13th July – How has God wired me up

God made each of us unique in our abilities and invested spiritual gifts in each of us. On this evening you will learn about spiritual gifts and do a short exercise to indicate which ones might be yours.

20th July - Life's Valuables

Probably the two most important things we have to spend are our time and our money. On this evening we will look at some Biblical principles for using time and money to God's glory and our profit.
